Online poker action – Hansen and Cates log wins

Last week belonged to Gus Hansen and Daniel Cates as far as online poker profits were concerned. The Great Dane took most of his money off Nekotyan, whom he played at
Full Tilt Poker’s $500/$1,000 PLO capped game tables. While the session only lasted for about two hours, it was enough to give Hansen a $327k win.
One of the most significant pots of the session was an $80k one which ended up in Gus Hansen’s pockets. The hand began with Nekotyan raising from the BB and Hansen making the call from the button. The flop was 6,6,2 rainbow and Nekotyan once again bet. Hansen made the call yet again and the 9h landed on the turn. Nekotyan took a step back by checking and sure enough Hansen pushed forward firing out a $7k bet. Nekotyan check-raised in response, Hansen pushed back a little and soon the 80k cap was reached.
Hansen then showed a full house and the two ran the river card twice, but none of the two cards bailed Nekotyan out.
As more and more of the nosebleed stakes cash game regulars head from Full Tilt Poker to
PokerStars, a mysterious figure under the moniker ilvdnfl, rumored to be none other than Di Dang had quite a field day at PokerStars last week. He played 1,127 hands and logged a profit of $174k. Most of that money came from “Also11” over the course of just 32 hands.
Daniel Cates played at PokerStars too, under the moniker “W00ki3z” and he earned the right to be listed among the week’s winners as well. He played around 3,100 hands against a player known as vencedor and some 300 more against the same Also11 that Di Dang managed to fleece as well. At the end of it all, Cates had wrung $150k out of his two opponents.
The biggest losers of the week were Nekotyan, Skjervoy and babayaro.
