Gus Hansen has been at the center of pretty much every noteworthy nosebleed stakes cash game at Full Tilt Poker lately. Over the last weekend, he scored a $600k+ profit, which put him back on top of the 2011 biggest winners’ list. Yesterday though, Lady Luck apparently turned her back on the Great Dane. He played against two players only, Kagome Kagome and Seb86, logging about 481 hands at
Full Tilt Poker, but he failed to get anything going against them. Over the few hands he played, he lost $345k.
Despite the big hit his bankroll has suffered, he still remains on top of the year’s biggest winners’ list.
Kagome Kagome had an excellent session against Hansen. He picked up $177k, an achievement that positioned him among the biggest winners of the week. Despite that, he’s still about $1.5 million in the red for the year. The other beneficiary of Hansen’s woes was Seb86. He picked up $168k.
The high stakes cash game action was hot at PokerStars too. Viktor Blom continued his ongoing feud with Gavin Cochrane. So far, it has been a great feud for the Swede: he managed to score several winning sessions, including his last one, which landed him a profit of $90k. The two players logged 3,075 hands in their latest session, all at the $50/$100 PLO tables. Isildur1 had been pretty much in the red ever since he made the move to
PokerStars a while ago. His latest exploits carried special significance: the latest profit batch finally nudged him over that elusive red line into profitable territory.
The biggest winners of the week were obviously the tree players named above. In addition to them Mary & Joey, Tr1cky7 and saphire1 also made the winners’ list. Hansen was by far the biggest loser, followed by Cochrane. Other players to make the losers’ list were le kork and compris.
