The weekend was once again pretty exciting for those who managed to finish deep in the various guaranteed prize-pool, large buy-in poker tournaments that ran all over the online poker world.
The biggest cash once again landed in the pockets of the man who won PokerStars’ Sunday Million. The $215 buy-in event drew a starting field of 8,523 participants, who created a prize-pool of $1,704,600. The lion’s share of that money ended up in the possession of Zareta, who struck a 2-way deal with second place finisher marado86 and still managed to take home $230,519, Marado86 ended up with $203,482. Notable finishes in the Sunday Million were those of Lauren Kling and Ryan Julius.
The Sunday Warm-up nearly broke the $1 million mark prize-pool wise. The winner of this event, Levan1971, won $118,860, after a three way deal at the top which saw two other players finish in 6-figures: second place man Kavindaa and third place man Moritz Kranich.
Although there were plenty of other lavish prize-pools at
PokerStars over the weekend, no other 6-figure winners have been registered.
Over at
Full Tilt Poker, the $750k Guarantee attracted a starting field of 3,981 players, covering the guarantee once again, with a prize-pool of $796,200.
This event saw a two way deal at the top too, thanks to which two 6-figure winners emerged. Chickface ended up on top, taking home $120,160. Eyes7475 was the runner-up for a prize of $106,000. Notable finishes were those of Wade Woelfel and Matt Juttlestad.
The Sunday Brawl was responsible for yet another 6-figure winner. Monkeybudgie won this
poker tournament, taking home $106,737 after no deals were made. 2,629 players coughed up the buy-in for this event, combining for a prize-pool of $525,800.
The winner of Ultimate Bet’s $200k GTD was Dominic Coombe, who emerged from a 4-way deal with $25,755.
