PokerTime’s software is downloadable at the click of a button from their website. If you click download, you will only fetch a 357kb large file, which downloads on even the slowest connections in a few seconds. You can choose to either fetch this file and then double click it on your computer (wherever you downloaded it to) to start the actual download process, or you can run it from its current location. I’m not really sure how big the actual software file is but I managed to install it in about 10-15 seconds and my connection is not a particularly fast one.

When you first fire the software up, it’ll check for versions and download all the necessary updates automatically. This is done in order to make sure your play experience is not disturbed in any way.
The updating of the software takes a little bit longer than the actual download, but you’ll still have it out of your way in less than a minute.

Once the installation is complete, you’ll be taken to the lobby, and a window will pop up asking for your user name and password, and offering a registration button for those who do not yet have an account at PokerTime.
The registration process is simple enough, but it does ask for an email account which you’ll have to use to verify your registration.
You will not be able to create an account if you are from the US (PokerTime doesn’t accept US players) because the registration interface asks you for your country information and the US is not featured in the list.
