The online poker weekend – Jason Koon wins big

Thanks to the FTOPS XIX, the tournament action was truly rabid over the weekend. The biggest prize of the weekend, a distinction that usually goes to the winner of PokerStars’ Sunday Million, ended up in Jason Koon’s possession this time. Koon finished second in the FTOPS’ $322 NL Holdem Multi entry event (event #24), which meant a $458k payday for him. Koon Proved to be a savvy deal-maker, managing to win more by finishing second than first place man Alexander Debus did with his win. Debus pocketed “only” $341k.
As many as 20 players finished with 6-figure prizes this weekend, three more of them in the same event which Koon “won”.
Event #24 was responsible for setting another FTOPS milestone as well: at $3,402,900, it set the record for the largest FTOPS prize-pool ever.
Full Tilt Poker’s own Scott Clements caught a bit of spotlight too, by winning the $10,300 2-day Heads-up event. He took home $290k for his efforts. Alessio Isaia, the fresh winner of the WPT’s Venice stop, finished second in the event, taking down a $285k reward.

6-figure winners continued to pour in from the other FTOPS XIX events, eclipsing PokerStars’ Sunday Million. All-in-all, the FTOPS XIX proved to be more than successful thus far, and there are still a week’s worth of green felt battles left in it.

The Sunday Million saw a starting field of 8,695 players belly up to the tables, contributing buy-ins for a $1,739,000 prize-pool. The winner of the poker tournament, keyzerrr, won $255k. There were no deals registered here and at the end of it all, three players went home with 6-figure profits. Second place man pink_outs took home $186k. Richard Lancaster finished 3rd for $130k.

The Sunday Warm Up ended in a 2-way deal at the top. Tytkto was the official winner, rewarded with $151k for his efforts. Daniel Bokesh finished second in this event, for $130k.
