The Poker Grapevine – AGCC to Accept Player Complaints

After revoking Full Tilt Poker’s license, the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) did pretty much everything it could to distance itself from the scandal completely. At one point, AGCC officials announced that the Commission would no longer accept and log player complaints regarding the
Full Tilt Poker case, and those slighted should instead turn to local authorities and log their complaints with them.
Now, that stance seems to have softened. The AGCC backtracked on its previous announcement stating that it would in fact continue to accept player complaints and that it would cooperate with the police in the case.
In other news: Russian poker player I7AXA made quite a name for himself over last weekend: he finished 2nd in the Sunday Million and took down a prize of $148.3k. In spite of the significance of his accomplishment, he probably would’ve been forgotten extremely fast by the poker community, had he not decided to try to hang on to his 15 minutes of fame, by attempting to win more money at the $5k heads-up SNG tables at PokerStars. He took on some of the best players in the world and he lost big. He was forced to drop down the stakes several times in an attempt to recover, but he failed time and time again. At the end of the massacre, about $140k of his prize-money was gone.
In still other news: the APPT will return to Macau, it is now official.
PokerStars has just released the entire schedule for the Macau stop, and it looks as appealing as ever.
The stop will run from November 17 till 27 and it will feature a Main Event with a buy-in of HKD $30k. The guarantee has been set to HKD $6 million. The stop will be hosted by the Grand Casino Lisboa.
Last year, Victorino Torres won the Main Event, and get this: he had earned his seat online through PokerStars.
