A reality TV show about singles and marriage…check. An eligible bachelor with piles of money in the bank? Check. An outgoing personality which is practically always begging for attention and prime-time? Check . It would appear that PokerStars pro Daniel Negreanu and reality TV show Millionaire Matchmaker are a match made in heaven indeed.
Negreanu, who is currently playing poker and enjoying the mild weather at the
2013 PCA, will make his reality TV debut on Thursday, when he will be featured on the Bravo Network’s Millionaire Matchmaker. The show is about finding millionaires and pairing them up with potential spouses. While the whole thing has an aura of “been there, seen that X times before”, this time it’s bound to get much more interesting, at least for poker fans.
While for some, Negreanu’s presence on the show might come as a surprise, we respectfully remind everyone that he had actually tweeted about this endeavor a while back. The
PokerStars pro has also confessed his desire to be on a reality TV show in the past…
In other news: in Nevada, the cause of legal online poker seems to advance every day. According to the latest headlines, two companies have already picked up preliminary approvals to begin offering
real money online poker to their customers. One of the companies was Lottomatica, an Italian operator which owns quite a handful of gaming companies, including a slot machine maker and lottery provider G-Tech. The other company was Sartini Synergy Online. Both companies are looking to participate in the regulated Nevada market as service providers.
Both corporate entities will apply for a license at the Nevada Gaming Commission.
Of the 30 companies which have applied for Nevada licenses, several have already been approved by the NGC.
