The Poker Grapevine – The Hendon Mob Severs Full Tilt Ties

As weeks go by and there’s still little to no solid information about the direction in which Full Tilt Poker is headed, more and more of their collaborators choose to distance themselves from the company. The latest group to ditch Full Tilt is the Hendon Mob. The break-up happened on several levels: the Mob severed its exclusive relationship with the site, and the group members have ceased to be Full Tilt’s in-house pros.
The Hendon Mob released a statement regarding the move, in which they made it clear that they were looking out for the best interest of the players who have signed up to
Full Tilt Poker through them and that they were not taking the loyalty of their online community for granted.
The Mob’s statement also explained that due to Full Tilt’s financial and legal troubles, the company was running at a loss, a state of affairs unsustainable in the long-run.
In other news: The Partouche Poker Tour’s has finally played down to the final table. The player who goes into the final stretch of action with the largest stack of chips is Sam Trickett. Trickett is by no means a stranger to the final tables of various high buy-in poker tournaments: he has amassed over $3 million in tournament winnings over his career.
18 players returned to the tables on the 5th day of the event. Will Failla and Juha Helppi were both among the returnees, but they both failed to make the final table. Failla, who busted in 14th place, jumped onto a plane almost straight from the table to get to the WPT’s Borgata Poker Open.
Local player Ludovic Lacay played extremely well. He was eliminated in 11th place, on the doorstep of the final table.
The final table bubble burst with the elimination of Emile Petit in 10th place.
In still other news: Vivian Im has just joined Team
PokerStars online.
