The long ailing WSOP-C has received an infusion of fresh blood this season and things aren’t about to stop for everyone’s favorite budget WSOP series there. Poker Productions, the company responsible for TV shows like High Stakes Poker and the WSOP-E, has apparently taken the WSOP-C under its wings and will produce a TV series which will air on Versus starting June 2011.
The episodes will all be two hours long and they will feature WSOP-C poker tournament action from various events of the season. The show will culminate with the
WSOP Circuit National Championship.
Given the way the WSOP-C has been able to connect with the poker playing masses in recent years, the TV exposure is certain to boost its attendance numbers. The newly reduced buy-in amounts have already convinced more players than ever before to belly up to the WSOP-C’s tables this season.
With Team Full Tilt and team
PokerStars Pro adding new players to their roster every now and then, Felipe Ramos’ recent addition as a red
Full Tilt Poker pro is not exactly front-page news. Something that may be just that though would be Isildur1’s signing, which is rumored to be in the works too. According to a Swedish blogger, the mysterious Swede who had shocked the world with his 2009 run at the highest stakes, and who had broken several online poker records, is on the verge of signing with an online poker site, thus becoming its official representative.
The blog post mentions nothing about which site is supposedly looking to hire the Swede, so whether or not the issue will lead to the eventual unveiling of the mystery-man’s identity is too early to tell. Given the fact though that his mystery-allure is just about the only thing he has going for him currently, doing away with his best asset may not be the best idea for Isildur1, regardless of the immediate rewards.
