PartyPoker aren't shy to seize every possible opportunity to push a new promotion, and as February closes in, Valentine's Day offers a more than obvious opportunity in this respect. The Valentines Missions promotion consists of 5 different missions, which kick off on February 1and wrap up on February 15. The missions are supposed to re-create the 5 stages of new love, from the beginnings till the bitter end, while they hand out extra prizes to those brave enough to wade through them. According to
PartyPoker's site, unlike actual love, the Valentines Missions are guaranteed to feature a happy ending, as players can pick up as much as $50 in bonuses through them. The bonus money is distributed rather un-evenly among the 5 missions. The first 4 offer $5 bonuses for a total of $20, while the last one hands out a $30 bonus, to make it $50 in all.
Sign up to PartyPoker now, or re-activate your account by making a real money deposit, and work your way to some sweet bonus money through the Valentines Missions.
In order to take part in the promotion, players are required to opt in manually. What exactly do the 5 Missions consists of though?
The first mission is called quite appropriately: the Beginning. The object of this mission is to pick up a Kh, Jh as a starting hand at a fastforward Poker table. Players then have to hit a Bounty MTT to simulate "the hunt", after which they must win a All-in or Nothing SNG. Only if they succeed will they be able to pick up the money and to move on to mission 2, which is The Commitment.
The Commitment kicks off with 25 hands of fastforward Poker, followed by 2 SNGs played over 2 consecutive days. Winning a hand with pocket Qs caps off this stage of the promotion.
The third stage is the Engagement one. For this mission, players need to win a hand with 6h, 9h.Then they have to play in a major MTT, followed by a money finish in one of these MTTs.
The 4th stage is where things head downhill. Called The Resignation, this Mission requires players to fold a hand. They then have to perform a check, and last but not least, they have to lose a hand with pocket Qs.
The last mission, the END, requires players to go all-in once, to lose a hand with pocket rockets and to finish outside the money in a 6-max SNG.
