The World Poker Tour is going to London and you could be too with a $12,000 from PartyPoker.
The World Poker Tour has many glamorous and prestigious stops but this year it has a new stop that is destined to be a real hit. The Palm Beach Casino sounds more like it should be in Florida or Hawaii rather than the centre of London, but those in the know will be familiar with the exquisite, sophisticated venue in Mayfair. It is the Palm Beach Casino that will be hosting the first ever WPT London Poker Classic from August 29th through to September 5th and you could be taking part in this show case event.
PartyPoker is currently making prize packages for the London Poker Classic available to members of their online poker community worth $12,000 in total. The event buy-in is $8,000 which says it all regarding the quality of this event, but included in the package is also $2,000 spending money, and 7 nights’ accommodation in a 5 star Mayfair hotel. The satellites for the event are now running at PartyPoker and will continue through till August the 8th, and if you think that they’re going to be as expensive as the event is prestigious, you’re in for a pleasant surprise.
PartyPoker is dedicated to making sure that everyone has the best chance of partaking in the London Poker Classic, no matter what their poker account looks like; as such they have put together a highly impressive qualifying structure which will even allow players to qualify through free poker play. There are just 3 steps between the free poker tournaments running at PartyPoker and a WPT London Poker Classic package. The freeroll tournaments run each day at PartyPoker, and 50 players from each of those tournaments will progress to the daily WPT London Sub Qualifier Speed Rebuy tournaments which can also be bought into for just $1. You could buy into the $1 event or you could alternatively buy-into one of the daily $8 WPT London Sub Qualifier Speed tournaments. From each of these speed tournaments players will progress to the WPT London Satellite Qualifier. The Satellite Qualifier will run each day at 14:50 ET or at 12:10 ET on Sunday – these events have a direct buy-in of $70. From the Satellite Qualifier tournaments 1 in 10 players will progress to the final step, the WPT London Satellite. The WPT London Satellite will run each Sunday at 14:15 ET until August 8th; the event has a direct buy-in of $600 + $40, and 1 for every 20 players taking part will win one of those $12,000 prize packages.
The poker forums will not be leaving this event alone, the online poker sites will be going crazy of it, and members of the online poker community will be fighting hard to get there –opportunities don’t get any better than this!
