EPT Prague – back to Eastern Europe

The EPT’s Prague stop debuted way back in season 4. Due to the enormous success it’d seen, it returned for season 5 and now it’s on the schedule for season 6 as well. Season 5 saw no fewer than 570 players belly up to the tables of the EPT Main Event, representing 40 different countries. When he dust settled though, Italy was the country which secured its first ever EPT Championship, through Salvatore Bonavena who took down a massive €774,000 prize. It was a true up and down achievement for him as he first dropped his chip lead only to regain it later and to eventually drive his edge home for good. Bonavena disposed of fellow Italian Massimo Di Cicco heads up, as a third Italian also made the final table: Fanceso Cirianni, who ended up in 5th place. The bottom line is that the season 5 Prague stop was an almost all-Italian affair.

Several name pros took part in the event, among them Martin Horecki, Luca Pagano, Alex Kravchenko, Dario Minieri and Noah Boeken. What does the season 6 Prague stop have in store? Make sure you’re there and you’ll see. The event takes place between December 1st and 6th at the Prague Hilton Hotel. The buy-in costs €5,000+€250 and you’ll be able to buy into the Main Event directly, or to satellite your way in for less, live, before the Main Event kicks off. Of course, the best way is to win your seat online at PokerStars where the Steps SNGs and the various MTT satellites will offer you the chance to win a seat for a mere few dollars or PokerStars FPPs.
The player cap is set to 600 and if the event draws as big a crowd as last year, the prize-pool will be mind-boggling.
