European Poker Tour - EPT Season 5
The PokerStars European Poker Tour is Europe's richest poker tour – with tournaments broadcast on TV throughout the world – and now the EPT is back for Season 5! Each event features the world’s greatest poker players battling it out for huge amounts of money in some of Europe’s most exciting cities.
The EPT recently announced its Season 5 dates and the schedule is very exciting. Season 5 of the EPT will, as it has every year, kick off in Barcelona, Spain for the EPT Barcelona Open on September 10-14 at Casino Barcelona.
Following the first stop in Barcelona, the EPT will move on to London, Warsaw, Prague, Deauville, Copenhagen, Dortmund and San Remo. The Grand Final takes place in Monte Carlo, from April 28 – May 3, 2009. The prestigious Grand Final in Monte Carlo has one of the biggest prize pools around, and is the event that everyone wants to win.
Qualifiers for the EPT Barcelona have already started on PokerStars.com, with Cash and FPP qualifiers starting from as low as $2.22 or 111 FPP credits. You can also win your seat with PokerStars Steps Sit & Go satellites, from only $7.50 or 500 FPP credits. The EPT Barcelona prize package is worth $16,700 and includes tournament buy-in, hotel accommodation and money to cover expenses.
The EPT Season 4 took place in 11 different countries, generating a season prize pool of over €40,000,000 ($62,000,000). Nearly 6,000 players took part, including 1,682 PokerStars qualifiers.
