Getting to a land based series is a dream for all on line poker players and PartyPoker is helping to realize that dream with their WPT Step Challenge Tournaments.
Usually to play holdem in a land based event requires spending a fortune, be it a direct buy-in or a buy-in for a satellite. With the WPT Step Challenge Tournaments however, you can actually qualify for free. There are 6 steps making up the Step Challenge, and entry to level 0 is just 10 points. You can enter as many level 0 tournaments as you want and as they run on a regular basis at PartyPoker on a 24/7 basis, you can take as many shots at it as you like. The WPT packages are given away to the winners of the Step 6 tournaments, so the question remains, how do you get from level 0 to level 6.
The great thing about the WPT Step Challenge tournaments at PartyPoker is that you can play holdem all the way to the top. This isn’t an easy feat, you have to finish top at each of the levels in order to progress, however it is certainly doable and PartyPoker does what it can to help you. For example, at some of the levels, you can stay on the same Step even if you didn’t win; PartyPoker gives you an opportunity to re-take a tournament for free if you finish in positions 1 to 4.
