Full Tilt Poker is generally considered a cash game destination in the online poker world, but their flagship Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) has always drawn in scores of tournament players. The good news is that the FTOPS will be back at the site come March 15 in its full glory, offering guarantees topping $4 million. This upcoming edition is the 28th of the Series, and it will kick off on Sunday, March 15, at 13:30 ET, with its first event, which is a
NL Holdem Reentry affair, featuring a $250 buy-in and a guarantee of $350k. While NL Holdem events will indeed dominate the schedule as always, there will be no shortage of other poker variants either. There's HORSE, there's PLO, there's 6-Card Omaha, Razz and 7-Card Stud. As far as mixed game events go, there will be one featuring 10 different poker variants and one with 25 game-types, so those looking to showcase the depth of their poker skills will have a stage to perform on.
As always, the cash prizes awarded by the events will only represent the tip of the iceberg. There will be special FTOPS jerseys handed out too, together with gold jersey avatars for the event winners. There will once again be a leader-board as well, the winner of which will receive a Black Card sponsorship, which essentially means that he/she will be able to play rake-free at the site for 4 whole months.

Being the high-profile tournament series that it is, the FTOPS isn't cheap. Buy-ins for its various events start at $100, so one will indeed need to have his/her bankroll buffed up, especially if a leader-board run is also part of his/her objectives. Obviously though, there are quite a few satellites running for just about every FTOPS event, and the buy-ins for these start at just $0.11 or 100 Full Tilt Points, so everyone will get a chance to play, even those who can't afford direct buy-ins. These satellites are already running, and the FTOPS is drawing near too, so those interested should hop aboard as soon as possible.
The Series will culminate in a $1k Main Event, which features a $1 million guarantee, and which takes place on Sunday, March 29.
