I think I needn’t tell you about the multitude of live poker events Full Tilt Poker offers online qualifiers for. The WPT’s LA Poker classic is the newest addition on their list, as they plan to send at least 10 players to this high-profile poker event. Just how well prize-pooled it is, is obvious from the first prize Phil Ivey took down last year and which exceeded $1.5 million.
The WPT direct access qualifiers will cost $200+$16, $300+$22 or $500+$35 to enter and they’ll each offer one guaranteed WPT LA Poker Classic package worth $12,000.

These packages include the buy-ins to the event (which is worth $10,000) and $2,000 for travel and various expenses. Of course, if you do happen to win one of these WPT seats, you’ll get much more out of the experience. Of course, paying out the buy-ins for these direct access qualifiers might not be something affordable for all comers. Those stacked on talent but low on cash can win their way in through one of the online qualifiers for as little as $1 or 50 Full Tilt Points.
Full Tilt Poker will automatically register winners. Mind you, that if you do win a WPT seat, you’ll have to produce an ID as proof of age.
According to law, you need to be at least 21 to participate in poker events in the US. In case you do not fulfill these requirements, you will not get reimbursed otherwise: the person whom you knocked out heads-up for the package will get it instead. The cash part of the prize will be transferred to your account within 48 hours of the completion of the direct access satellite.
