If you’re familiar with the world of high stakes online poker or if you read poker news at all, you already know who Tom Dwan is. One of the in-house Full Tilt professionals, Tom Dwan has been playing some of the highest stakes cash tables at the poker room for quite a while. His insatiable thirst for high stakes action has led him to issue a challenge which is certain to provide plenty of action for him for quite some time to come. He’s issued a challenge to all the poker players in the world to take him on in 50,000 hands of poker played simultaneously at 4 tables. The player who would be up even a dollar at the end of the 50,000 hands, would win $1,500,000 from Dwan, plus the winnings from the challenge tables.

If Dwan won, he’d only take $500,000 from his opponent plus the money from the challenge tables. The four challenge tables have already been set up and Dwan has already played around 10% of the 50,000 hands of his first challenge. Fellow Full Tilt professional Patrik Antonius was all too eager to take him up on the challenge and the two have been slugging it out for a few weeks already.
The excellent odds offered by durrrr have drawn interest from other players as well, and apparently there’s a queue of challengers in the making.

Phil Ivey and David Benyamine have also expressed their willingness to take durrrr on at the challenge tables.
The evolution of the battle between Patrik Antonius and Tom Dwan can be followed up close through the special challenge page featured on Full Tilt Poker’s site.

If you’re craving for some high stakes poker education, log on and start railbirding the 4 challenge tables, or clock some hands yourself at lower limits: who knows, one day you too might be playing against durrrr or Antonius.
