Phil Ivey is a favourite for the title of 2009 WSOP Champion; Full Tilt Poker is offering the chance to make money on his success with a Piece of Ivey.
The November Nine showdown is getting ever closer, and FTP has decided that why should those nine alone be winning big bucks. The Piece of Ivey promotion running at Full Tilt Poker until November 5th is designed to give all Full Tilt Poker players the chance to win their own wad of cash off of Phil Ivey's success.
There are 3 possibilities within the Piece of Ivey promotion; namely the 5% option, the 1% option, and the daily cash draws. The 5% option will see one Full Tilt Poker player earn a part of 5% of Phil Ivey's earnings from the 2009 WSOP Main Event. On November 6th there will be a draw in which 9 players will be chosen to partake in an exclusive tournament with the 5% as the prize-pool. In order to qualify for the draw you can do so through various means, including Ring Games and Sit n' Go tournaments. The 1% Piece of Ivey is a similar idea except that this prize pool is worth 1% of Ivey's total earnings, but Full Tilt Poker are throwing in an extra $50k, so that 1% is just the first place prize! Finally there are daily cash draws in which FTP will have given away $150,000 in prizes before November 5th.
Of course everyone wishes Phil Ivey the best of luck next month, but maybe with this promotion running, we may be wishing him a little more luck than we might have done otherwise.
