The online poker industry seems to be all about innovation these days. What exactly is the Full Tilt Classic? It's an 8-day poker extravaganza, starting on February 15 and wrapping up on February 22, featuring deep-stacked, freeze-out tournament action twice a day, every day, for the promotional period.
Buying into these events directly is the most straightforward way to go about playing in them, but obviously, qualifying for them online is also possible. The prize-pools are sweet indeed, and on top of them, there's quite a bit of freeroll action coming up as part of the promotion too. On the first day of the promotion, the buy-ins will only be $0.50, and they will increase every day, culminating in $100 buy-ins on the final day. Going back to the first day of Classic action though: on February 15, there will be a
NL Holdem and a FL Holdem 6-max event, featuring guarantees of $1k and $500 respectively.
On the second day, the buy-ins go up to $1, but the guarantees get bigger as well. On February 16, players will do battle for $2k and $1k guarantees in the two Classic events.
Besides Holdem, Omaha, 5-Card Draw and Stud will also be featured, not to mention Razz.
The Full Tilt Classic will culminate in a Main Event, set to take place on the final day of the promotion, on February 22. The Main Event is a NL Holdem affair, featuring a $100 buy-in and a guarantee of $200k. This is by far the most generous event of the Series.
Besides the actual prizes offered by the events, satellite qualifiers will also take part in a Last Longer competition. Those who last the longest in any given event, will pick up a free ticket into the above-described $200k Main Event. Winners will be notified by email, and they will have to register for the Main Event manually with the ticket credited to their account.
