As you probably know, Full Tilt Poker pros Gus Hansen and Viktor Blom are set to lock up in a heads-up challenge taking place on September 14 at the online tables. We ran a piece on this in our
poker news section, so you can read about the actual mechanics of the challenge there.
What’s even more interesting about the Heads-up Showdown than the $50k the two will play for and the obvious bragging rights, is the part that players can play in the Showdown. Indeed, all players have to do to qualify for the promotional extravaganza surrounding the Heads-Up Showdown is to make a $20 deposit and they’re ready to go.
Sign up to Full Tilt Poker right now and jump on the Heads-up Showdown bandwagon straight away!
How exactly do the Heads-up Showdown-linked promotions work though? As said above, the first step is to make a $20 deposit. The second step is then to rack up at least 50 Full Tilt Points until September 7. One’s progress towards the 50 points goal can be tracked via the “My Promotions” page.
Once the goal is reached, players are credited a ticket to one of the two $10k freerolls running in support of the two pros involved in the challenge. All freeroll tickets will be credited by September 10. Player will then have until September 13 to register for Either Blom’s or Hansen’s freeroll.
The above said freerolls are just the beginning though. Players whose chose pro emerges victorious in the Heads-up Showdown get to play in a $30k Heads-up Flip Freeroll, to which they will be registered automatically, unlike to the above said $10k freerolls, to which manual registration is required.
Due to the format of the tournament, which takes place on September 15, players aren’t even required to be actually logged in to take part in it.
Last but certainly not least, players watching the heads-up confrontation will get a chance to take down a ticket for the Main Event of the upcoming edition of the FTOPS. In order to enter the draw (because that’s how the said ticket shall be awarded), players need to watch the action unfold. To do that, they have to log into their Full Tilt Poker accounts and they have to click “Requests” and “Find a Player”. By typing Gus Hansen or Isildur1, they’ll be able to find the table(s) where the action takes place.
The FTOPS ticket shall be credited to the winner by September 16.
Create an account at Full Tilt Poker and railbird the action. By doing that, you may be able to score a ticket for the FTOPS Main Event.
