About Titan Poker

Titan Poker is one of the fast emerging new online poker “superpowers”. Recently moved onto to the iPoker Playtech network, they can now boast a client software which is the result of years and years of experience in online poker and casino gambling.
The iPoker network is currently one of the biggest online poker networks and it’s recuperating faster from the shock caused by the UIGEA in 2006, than anybody would’ve thought possible. Titan poker is the leading poker room on this network, with approximately 8,000 players at their cash tables and 43,000 at their tournament ones.
Even though not too long ago Titan Poker had a definite U.S oriented feel to it, it’s obvious that lately they’ve begun focusing their energies on the European Poker market. They’ve always featured nice and rather loose tournaments, nowadays however they’ve made tourneys one of the major attractions of their site. They organize the European Championship of Online Poker these days.
Unlike some of the other leading online poker operators, Titan Poker has never had any problems regarding integrity and security, and to this day they practice a zero tolerance policy towards acts of attempted cheating and fraud.
Titan Poker Software (iPoker software)
The iPoker software is one of the smoothest online poker clients. Graphics are OK, and the client manages to look decent without being a hardware hog or flooding the screen with eye-candy. The perspective is an isometric one, and the avatars are 3D-like although they are only moderately customizable which means there will be several copycat people around the table at any one time. Sounds are also customizable.
The software tends to be a bit slow because of the generous amount of time people are allowed to think about what they’re about to do (and believe me many people take full advantage of this, time and time again.) and not because of technical issues. Glitches have been signaled with the client in the past but those problems seem to have been addressed.
There is a wealth of statistics offered, like the game history, and the usual ones regarding flops seen, hands won, and so on, as well as some extra features like the buddy list. Taking notes on opponents is also possible.
Multi tabling is supported by mini table views up to eight tables. The software remains very responsive and fast even when one decides to take full advantage of this feature.
Titan Poker Promotions and Best Bonus
Titan poker advertises a 50% match on (first) deposits up to $200 on its homepage, but provided you sign up through different channels (like this website) much better deals are offered,
150% up to $500 + 25 via PokerStop. Reload bonuses are also offered sometimes, especially for high-value players. Unlocking these bonuses is also relatively easy. Their validity is 90 days which should be well enough to have them transferred to one’s real money account $10 at a time. The fact that bonuses are not unlocked in one lump sum is also to the players’ advantage.
Titan Poker uses a player VIP level system to determine the amount of poker points players generate by playing in real money raked hands. These poker points are used for a variety of purposes like unlocking bonuses, buying into tournaments etc.
The higher a player’s VIP level (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Titanium) the more poker points he/she earns per raked hand or per dollar of tournament fee.
Titan Poker’s promotions include the likes of the good-old “refer a friend” bonus, vacations are offered as prizes, the Bad Beat bonus and the Top Hand of the Day bonus (must be better than four Kings and player must use both hole cards in it to qualify).
Titan Poker Tournaments
Titan poker features some pretty neat freerolls for beginners, as well as for regular players. Entry to these freerolls costs nothing (no poker points either) and registration begins one hour ahead of tournament start. Be careful though, due to the fact that these freerolls are network-wide, they’ll fill up in a few minutes so you need to actually stalk them out if you intend to participate.
STTs are running all the time and starting as they fill up. I’ve had the pleasure of winning several of these tourneys myself, and believe me, if I could win, it means they’re pretty loose and easy to beat. Points buy-in tourneys run all the time too. All you need to buy in to these tourneys are poker points, and some of them offer more poker points as prizes while others are satellites to some pretty high-profile events.
Prestigious poker events to which Titan Poker runs satellites are the Irish Open, The Aussie Millions, The south African Poker Open and their own $2 million guaranteed. The direct buy-in to the latter is $1,500 + $80.
There are several other guaranteed tournaments running too, some on a daily, others on a weekly basis in the $3,000 to $20,000 prize-pool range.
Titan Poker Special Offers
Titan Poker’s special features begin with its software. The hand history presented with actual illustrated cards can be of huge help in tracking back moves made by certain players or just to get a good idea of what really happened on the previous hand. It is especially useful for beginners and it’s automatic, so it doesn’t take any sort of skills to use.
Titan Poker has its own “turning someone into a poker professional in a tropical paradise” gimmick. After all, where would a top-class online poker room be without it?
Titan’s WPS Ocean World Super Satellites will send a few lucky players all expenses paid to the Dominican Republic to live their dreams of being poker professionals.
They’re especially generous on this promotion as the package doesn’t only include travel expenses, spending money and buy-in. 7 nights in a luxury hotel, food and drinks as well as all snacks are also paid for.
Their Rio Jackpot is also a quite unique promotion. Players who win six $20+$3.5 Rio Jackpot SNGs in a row, qualify for a huge $25,000 jackpot
Titan Poker Do Not Accept US Players
Titan Poker, like many of the smaller poker rooms on the iPoker network took the impact of the 2006 UIGEA head-on, a blow which practically pushed many of them right back to the stone age. Still reeling from the damage, iPoker sites with Titan poker as their leader, built up a new European-oriented marketing strategy and began to rebuild their shattered player-base. Nowadays, Titan and almost all of the other sites have nearly completely recovered and they’re back where they belong: in the leading echelon of the online poker world. Titan doesn’t accept U.S. players, of course, and one couldn’t even say that this factor tightened the play up in the room.
We recommend US players to play poker at
Full Tilt Poker
Titan Poker Support
Titan Poker is officially the proud host of one of the best support systems in the industry. iPoker support is indeed one of the best. I’ve had the pleasure of using their live chat feature on different iPoker sites, although Titan – in particular - doesn’t have that. It has live 24/7 phone support instead, and the usual email option. The support personnel is 100% up to the task though. Not only do they truly help you solve your problems, they are fast and friendly too.
Great work on that.
