It’s not over till the satellites stop registering: 200 WSOP packages will be given away this Sunday by PokerStars, and one could be yours for just $1.10.
If you’ve been following the WSOP you will know that it is not only in full swing, but is actually coming towards its conclusion. You may be impressed with the quality of play we’ve seen, surprised by some outcomes, or even kicking yourself that you didn’t get yourself to Las Vegas in order to take part in the series. Whether PokerStars has tapped into this latter feeling, or whether they’ve gotten carried away themselves with the excitement of the WSOP is unclear, but what is clear is that you still have a chance of getting to Las Vegas in order to take part in the World Series of Poker Main Event.
PokerStars, the giant of online poker sites is going to be giving away not one or two, but 200 packages for the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event, thus guaranteeing 200 very happy members of their online poker community. This is one of those situations where you can simply throw your poker odds calculator out of the window, follow your gut, and recommendations from everyone on every poker forum ever and just go for it; but you’ve got to hurry. The WSOP Main Event will be getting started on July 5th, so as you can imagine, there’s no time to loose and PokerStars isn’t loosing it. The online poker site will be hosting a WSOP Mega Satellite for the WSOP Main Event on June 20th at 16:30 ET and from this those packages will be awarded. The packages are set to be worth approximately $12,000 which will include the buy-in for the WSOP Main Event, as well as accommodation at the Palms Resort, money for travel, and even an extra bonus if you make it into the money.
For those of you who are wondering, the Mega Satellite will be replacing the Sunday Million tournament this week at PokerStars, and in order to register for it you can buy-in directly for $370 or you can play in qualifiers starting at $1.10, or even through free poker tournaments with FPP buy-ins.
