The PokerStars Million Dollar Challenge TV show has been a huge success and to celebrate its grand final PokerStars is running a Head Hunt tournament especially for you.
The Million Dollar Challenge has bought poker into the living rooms of millions of Americans who have loved it, making it the most popular poker TV show ever to be aired. As it comes to an end, PokerStars it seems wants to give something back to all those fans and how better to do that than run a Head Hunt competition.
PokerStars is certainly not short on "heads" with one of the most star-studded professional teams of all the online poker sites, which makes a PokerStars Head Hunt tournament all that much more exciting. The Tournament will be held on January 4th at 19:00 ET, and the prize pool; a cool $1,000,000.
You have a few options for playing in the tournament. You can buy in directly for $10 + 1, or you can satellite your way there. There are $1.10 satellites running daily until January 3rd at 20:00 and 23:00 ET from which the top 11 players will receive Head Hunt seats, or there are daily poker freerolls running at 19:00 and 22:00 ET until January 3rd from which the top 18 will be awarded Head Hunt Seats.
Now for the gory details; who will be playing, and what are they worth! The top bounty is that of Daniel Negreanu who is worth $1,000. The next tier of bounties are worth $750 each and these are the MDC Defenders, namely, Vanessa Rousso, Chris Moneymaker, Barry Greenstein, and Joe Cada. All other Team PokerStars Pro players are worth $500. That's not all though; you also have MDC Celebrities for example John Salley, Tito Oriz, and Jayde Nicole who are worth $250 each, and MDC contestants such as the ever popular Father Andrew Trapp who along with the other contestants taking part is worth a $100 bounty.
