PokerStars are making six extra PokerStars Passports available for top scorers of the December Tournament Leader Board.
PokerStars Passports are much sought after, and now your chance is here to get one. Place in the top 2,000 of this month's Monthly Tournament Leader Board and you could be the winner of one of six PokerStars Passports.
For those of you not yet familiar with the PokerStars Passport, the concept is as fabulous as it is simple. The Passport allows you to travel to some of the biggest poker events in the world, for example the European Poker Tour and the Asia Pacific Poker Tour. The more stamps you have in your passport, the further a field you can go and the bigger the tournament you can take part in.
The race is on however as there's only six extra passports to be given away in December; the good news is that you could be winning one for free. Regular tournaments up until December 31st will see you get further up the Tournament Leader Board the more you play. The top 2,000 players from the December Monthly Tournament Leader Board will be entered into one of 4 tournaments that are to be held on January 24th, 2010 at 14:00 ET. The top 200 from the Monthly Leader Board will go into the first of these tournaments which is the Main Event. From the Main Event a 5-Stamp PokerStars Passport will be awarded to the first place winner, a 3-stamp PokerStars Passport to the second place winner, and a 2-Stamp PokerStars Passport will be won by the third place runner up. However that's not all, as places four to eighteen will get cash prizes of between $5,000 and $1,000 each. In addition to the Main Event there will be three consolation tournaments. These three tournaments will be for players 201 – 500, 501 – 1,000, and 1,001 – 2,000 from the December Tournament Leader Board; and from each of these three tournaments one 1-Stamp PokerStars Passport will be allocated as well as over $23,000 in prizes.
