If you missed the first Romanian Poker Championship, you could be forgiven; miss two however and shame on you. PokerStars is offering all customers the opportunity to partake right now.
The first Romanian Poker Championship was a roaring success, so much so that it’s back already. The Romanian Poker Championship I was held in November of last year at the World Trade Plaza, Bucharest and attracted 339 players for the main event. It was ultimately Cristian Dumitrescu who triumphed from that field with the first place prize of £51,666. Out of those 339 players, 51 got to the event via PokerStars. The online poker site will be no less involved with getting players to the second Romanian Poker Championship with qualifiers that are already up and running at the site.
The Romanian Poker Championship II will be held in the Radisson SAS Hotel in Bucharest from May 2nd to 6th but the story begins now at PokerStars. The prize packages that are being made available to PokerStars players are worth a very generous $2,990. The packages include the event buy-in plus hotel accommodation and money towards travel. The qualifiers are open to all and are running right now in the PokerStars lobby under Events and Special.
The qualifying schedule at the online poker site is attractive with a qualifier running for every possible pocket. There are poker freerolls running each Tuesday up till April 25th from which seats will be awarded in the $5.50 qualifiers. The $5.50 qualifiers will run every week day up until April 23rd and will feed into the $55 qualifiers that run on the weekends until April 25th. There are also however $11 qualifiers and $27.50 qualifiers. The main prize packages will be awarded to winners of the $109 qualifiers which run every Saturday and Sunday, but the $27.50 and $55 qualifiers will also award winners with the buy-in for the Main Event; winners of these prizes are responsible for their own accommodation and travel.
