The ladies poker community is growing and PokerStars is adapting. The New Women’s Poker League is now up and running at one of the worlds largest online poker sites.
There’s ladies football, ladies tennis, and now one of the biggest online poker sites in the world is embracing its female members by opening the Women’s Poker League. Female members of the PokerStars poker community are invited to compete in the Women’s Poker League every month with regular cash prizes and Ladies’ Luxury Events packages being given away.
The Women’s Poker League runs on both a monthly and yearly basis with prizes being allocated to the highest ranking female players in each play period. There are Women’s Poker League tournaments running every day at 21:00 ET and on Sundays at 20:10 ET for US$ players, and daily at 13:10 ET and on Sundays at 12:10 ET for players playing in Euros. These tournaments can be found under the “Tourney” tab, and “All” in the PokerStars lobby. Each one of these tournaments that you take part in will earn you points for the women’s Poker League with a non-cash finish earning you 1 point, a first place finish earning you 20 points, and a whole lot of points prizes being won in between. The daily poker tournaments have a buy-in of $/€5.50 whilst the Sunday tournaments have a buy-in of $/€55.
At the end of each month the top 50 players in the US$ division will be rewarded with prizes ranging from $300 to $10, whilst the top 50 players in the European division will get prizes ranging from €200 to €5. At the end of the year however there are more prizes to be won. The top points earner will get $1,500 or €1,000 plus a Ladies Luxury Event Package.
